GigaWave Technologies Announces Cisco Airespace Installation, Administration & Maintenance v2.0 Technical Training

LAS VEGAS, NV, June 21, 2005 - GigaWave Technologies today announced the updated Cisco Airespace Installation, Administration and Maintenance (CAIAM) v2.0 course. This three-day, instructor led training offers a detailed study of the Cisco solution and how to install, configure, manage and troubleshoot using the Cisco system within an enterprise-class Cisco wireless network.

This course focuses on covering the components, features and proper deployment of the Airespace system, now branded the Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS), as a result of the recent acquisition of the Airspace product portfolio. All is reinforced with 11 hands-on configuration labs on such topics as CLI and Switch Web configuration, open & web authentication configurations and end-to-end 802.1X PEAP-EAP-MSCHAPv2 configurations including client, switch and AAA server.

Upon completion, students will be able to understand the components and features of the WCS solution, know how to size, install and configure the solution, use the Cisco network management system and WCS as well as perform maintenance using unique product features and detailed troubleshooting methodologies and debugging tools.

Cisco WCS software enables managers to centrally design, control, and monitor Cisco wireless networks that encompass hundreds of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and thousands of Cisco 1000 Series lightweight access points. The graphical software includes functions for RF prediction, policy provisioning, network optimization, troubleshooting, user tracking, security monitoring, trending and analysis reports, and wireless LAN systems management.
