The Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Mobility Services course is a 5 day ILT course, designed to help students prepare for the CCNP-Wireless certification, a professional level certification specializing in the wireless field. The IUWMS course is a component of the proposed CCNP-Wireless (Cisco Certified Wireless Professional) curriculum. The goal of the IUWMS v2.0 is to provide professionals with information to prepare them to integrate mobility services into the network; tune and troubleshoot the WLAN running mobility services, and implement mesh networks The IUWMS reinforces the instruction by providing students with hands-on labs to ensure students thoroughly understand how to implement mobility services in the wireless network.
This course is available in multiple formats. You can purchase instructor-led training (ILT) in a classroom setting or virtual ILT via the web. Both the classroom ILT and virtual ILT versions of this course come with access to our state of the art remote labs that use actual Cisco equipment. For the classroom ILT version of this course, laptops are provided to participate in the hands-on labs. If you desire to use your own laptop, please bring a laptop computer with an Ethernet port as well as an internal wireless NIC, 802.11a/b/g/n. The laptop’s operating systems must be Windows XP (SP3). If your operating system is Windows Vista or Windows 7, include a Terminal Emulator such as HyperTerminal. IN ADDITION, if you laptop does not contain Terminal Emulation you will need administrator rights to the laptop to install software.
